Ada Torra A professional life centred around horses
I’m a veterinarian specialised in equines, working between Lleida and Huesca, and I combine clinical practice with teaching and the management of Centre Vinatesa—an environment I’ve developed as a meeting point for health, training and responsible handling.
Integrative veterinary medicine
I work with an integrative veterinary approach, combining conventional treatments with alternative therapies. I hold a diploma in acupuncture specialised in equines.

Training, teaching and outreach
Outreach is a responsibility: explaining what’s complex, giving owners practical tools, and helping horses live in a fairer, more sustainable environment.
University teaching
As an associate professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (University of Lleida), I take part in training future professionals and in various academic activities.
AVEEC Presidency
I’m currently the President of AVEEC (Association of Specialist Equine Veterinarians of Catalonia), where we promote continuing education, professional events and forums for discussion among equine specialists.
Training at Centre Vinatesa
I’m the owner and a riding instructor at Centre Vinatesa, where we run workshops for owners, handling sessions, rider training, and talks on equine health and welfare.
I believe in clear veterinary work: saying things as they are, finding the real cause, and supporting the owner so they can make sound decisions. My job isn’t only to treat, but to prevent, educate and improve the horse’s day-to-day life from a holistic perspective.
